Style and comfort with our Budget screens
Screens are a beautiful and modern form of outdoor sun shading that allows you to fully enjoy your view. The screen fabrics are uniquely woven. Our unique fabrics filter sharp sunlight, creating only a beautifully atmospheric light in the house. The fabrics reflect harsh sunlight, making the screens heat-reducing while providing only gentle light in your home. The Budget screens are operated via guides. Are you looking for screens with ZIP technology? Then check out our Modern ZIP screens and Exclusive screens.
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
You can choose from three variants: the Budget Screen 95, Budget Screen 105, and Budget Screen 125. The number refers to the cassette size. Which variant is suitable depends on the width and height of your screen. Do you want to equip multiple windows with Budget Screens? Then it may be that different window sizes technically require a different cassette size. For a uniform appearance, we recommend using the same cassette size wherever possible.
With a Budget Screen featuring a solar motor, a discreet solar panel is provided that charges the battery of the motor. The panel uses daylight to generate energy, eliminating the need for an electrical power cable indoors. The screen can be easily opened and closed with a remote control. A solar version is particularly interesting for renovations or in locations where there is no electrical connection near the window.
Yes. You can choose from more than 60 colors and various screen fabrics, including Sergé 600, Sergé 1% and Soltis 86. Sergé 600 and Soltis 86 offer good visibility to the outside, while Sergé 1% is woven tighter and filters more light. Our screen fabrics are designed for outdoor use and have high color and UV resistance. You can request a free color sample for each color. For the cassette and guides, you can choose from 5 standard RAL colors: white, cream, anthracite, black, and RAL 7001 Silver Grey. Other RAL colors are available at an additional cost.
Yes. The Budget Screen is designed for easy self-assembly. Particularly, a version with a solar motor is interesting for this purpose, as there is no need for electrical connection or power cable indoors. After attaching the box and guides, the screen is almost ready for use immediately. Our installation instructions and instructional videos explain the placement step by step. Would you prefer us to measure and install the screen? Then you can also take advantage of our measurement and installation service.
A Budget Screen operates without a zip or zipper system. The fabric moves freely between the side guides, making the system simpler to construct and more affordable. With a zip screen, the fabric is locked in place along the entire height in the side guides. This keeps the fabric tighter and makes the screen more resistant to wind. For wind-sensitive locations or when extra stability is desired, a Modern Zip Screen or Exclusive Zip Screen is therefore the better choice.
A Budget Screen is less wind-resistant than a zip screen because the fabric is not enclosed in the side guides. In normal, sheltered installation situations, this system provides reliable sun protection. For higher floors, open landscapes, corner houses, or other wind-sensitive locations, we recommend a zip screen. Thanks to the zipper system, the fabric remains better in place under higher wind loads.
The battery of a high-quality solar motor is designed for years of daily use. In the latest generation of solar systems, the expected lifespan can reach up to approximately 15 years. So you don’t have to worry about the battery needing replacement after just a few years. The battery is automatically recharged via the solar panel, so no electrical connection is required, allowing the screen to function completely wirelessly. After many years, a battery may naturally need to be replaced. This doesn't have to be a big issue: the battery can be easily replaced separately, without needing to replace the entire screen or motor. This way, a solar screen remains a practical and low-maintenance solution in the long term.
